August Attrition?

Inquiring minds want to know. Mark? Buehler? Buehler? Anyone?
Mark posted the information on TWA Plane Talk, a private TWA board, a couple of days ago:

August attrition remains disappointingly low at 39. 22 more TWA FA's retired from furlough.

Obviously the attrition rate is down substantially this year so far. As of this time last year, total attrition was 605 vs. 392 for this year.

It would be interesting to know what is going on. At the same time, I keep hearing from senior f/as that I know that a large bunch of retirements are looming. The most senior f/a at SLT retired effective 01SEP. Maybe SEP numbers will be higher.

So...what is the attrition rate for August?
Not that I'm holding my breath in excitement for a high rate, but if you are furloughed like I am, any number is better than no number.

Attrition numbers for August posted to the Flight Service Website today...

Domestic: 30
Domestic: 9
Avg. Seniority: 15 years
Retirees: 9

(Names and other info for retirees not yet posted.)

Note how low the average seniority is. I think the Law Of Unintended Consequences is kicking in. Those people with less than 15 years who don't have that much invested in this career are starting to quit.
