From the training department, rumor has it were looking at 40 to 80 and also interested in the 787 since the "new" A-350XWB won't be ready till 2012.

Unless Boeing starts a second production line the 787s are pretty much sold out for delivery until about 2012.

WOOOOOO HOOOOOO, I was just promoted to full General.

Why would we buy 40-80 737's when we could buy 40-80 A320's? As for the 787's, no surprise there, I have thought for a while that we will become a narrowbody airbus company and a wide body boeing company (except for the 757).

Believe it when you see it at the jetway. A savvy management holds the cards close to their chest and encourages price competition from suppliers. If you want to buy a BMW and tell the salesman that you'd be just as happy driving a Lexus, do you think he'll work to get you the best deal?

Sounds like what they're doing with PSA...

If we see any more 737s join the fleet, I don't think it'll be the -800, but the new 737-900ER. I understand Boeing has been pitching this aircraft to US Airways.

in a nut shell, when they come into a heavy check, they're all rotted out for openers.

I can see LCC getting some of their additional planes from the leasing companies. To me the LCC order book is on the thin side. I think LCC will have to look elsewhere for the "new" planes. just my thoughts...........

You folks are dreaming.

Any new narrow body jets will be emb 190's or emb derivatives with the corresponding pay scales.

The only new main line jets that will be real will be a relatively small number of wide body long haus airbuses that will be fed by the emb's.

This airline isn't going to be anything other than that.

That's a lie and you know it.

Just what this company needs...another aircraft type.

A320 Driver
So are you a heavy maintenance mechanic now too?

When the buses came in for their cockpit door mods, there was severe corrosion in the foward lav area, all the lav pans had to be replaced and repair developed and the buses were only several years old at the time.

The corrosion problem was so severe Airbus had to redesign the foward lav area.

Once again, don't let the facts get in your way.

Does it matter what a person does?

We assembled the kits and brought them to the hangar and the mechanics and management informed us of what was going on.

You are unreal.

I am glad to see you are more worried and obsessed with me then actually adding to the topic at hand. Your M.O. has not changed one bit.

No Bob, I was referring to brown, who use to "stalk" me on here.
