Turned out his wife Linda was an even bigger Washington Insider than he was. Turns out she was and remains one of the most influential lobbyists in DC. Her Biggest client is/was American Airlines. She recieves revenues from the airlines to the tune of roughly double what the Bachmann's family took in Farm Subsidies over 15 tears.

BTW according to you link since Bachmann became a Congress woman the amount of money paid to her family totals UNDER $7,500! Or less than 3% of the total. Bear in mind we are talking family as in extended family. I mean it's not like she's Fast Eddie Rendell who as a prosecutor knowingly put an innocent man on death row to further his career. Eventually he became head of the DNC and Governor of PA.

Talk about grasping at straws? We're talking adout money her DEAD father in law obtained legally here, not anything she did directly. iIt's VERY difficult to assassinate the character of someone who actually has some. She didn't run up an additional 5 TRILLION in additional Debt, or cause $4.00/Gal Gas, 9.1% Unemployment None of those things are as a result of the actions of Ms Bachmann, We have someone else to thank for that.

I do not think we are talking about mostly. We are talking about Bachmann and her acceptance of subsides that she is against. She fed at the trough that she is speaking against.

If that holds true then the republicans must be terrified of Obama and Clinton because that is all they were talking about in 2008. Hell, Clinton was not even in office in the 90's and the republicans went after her like a rabid dog.

From the time she and her husband inherited the farm less than $7,500 in subsidies were accepted or roughly 2.8% of the total received by her Father In Law, NOT HER!

How much was taken in 2008? 2009? Hmmmm? IIRC is was ZERO! She's a hypocrite because a relative took advantage of Government largesse?

Oh and while I'm on a perfectly good rant, revisit 777Fixer's chart which he so graciously provided and kindly show me Michele Bachmann's name anyplace on that list. If this is the only thing the left can come up with is a relative took money legally from a program that she opposes of which was less than 3% since she joined Congress then I'd submit to you that we've found an honest politician.

Bachmann has held a stake in the family farm since at least 2006. Her clinic has received government aid. She also received money from the government for her 23 foster children.

When did Bachmann inherit the farm? Everything I have read say that she has a financial stake in the farm and that she has received from $32k to $105k in federal subsidies from 2006-2009. She said she never got a dime from the farm but her financial disclosures say different. Whether she is lying or just forgot about it is not a big deal. I guess that stuff happens to republicans as well. The issue is that she is against the subsidies/monies that she has been receiving.

So disagreeing with their politics is hating now?

BTW, Mr Bachmann is a clinical therapist and president of Bachmann & Associates. All indications are that the clinic is his, not hers so it seems that you can strike that business from her resume as well.
