I stayed here several years ago, nice friendly and across the street from the Beach on A1A.

Bahia Cabana Ft. Lauderdale

And its just minutes away from the airport. They used to have the Gigantic Rum Runners at the bar, oh they were terrific!

That's your idea of cheap--I mean affordable?
LOL sorry.. my head is stuck up my ass selling Caribbean packages.. seemed cheap to me compared to the $1000pp I see for 4 nights there. There are a few 2 1/2 stars I saw going for $150 for 2 nights. I just didn't know what nights/dates/people were going so I did a rough quote!

Also, he never gave a price target so I didn't know what he considers cheap. I could get slapped for giving someone MGM and they wanted Bellagio. Sheesh. Come on now. 😉

You are kidding right?

People fly to Vegas on US and stay at the Bellagio? I hope the Bellagio don't know that. 😛

thanks guys/girls...

Looking for 50-75 bucks a night. Not sure if that's even possible, during spring break. I don't mind walking a few/several blocks to the beach. Just trying to get a room for a night without worrying about my safety. I was hoping there was a deal out there for crew. Any help is welcome. thanks again!

Try Super 8, Motel 6, or other budget chains. Try www.orbitz.com or www.hotels.com

I am aware of the usual outlets. I was hoping for some insider info. (i.e. Twin Palms in PHX for 39.00 a night). thanks.

Try Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Our beaches are mostly residential with a few hotels on the ocean or directly across street. Many are under $100 per night. Water temp right now is 68 but gets into the 80s by Memorial Day.

Spring breakers typically pass us by, so a bit quieter. There is some nightlife at the beach, but not like in South Florida.

Pensacola Beach and the panhandle of Florida has some of the best beaches and often deals that beat anything you can find in South Florida. Several of the beaches have been rated the best in the country, something you will not find in FLL.

Well you know about Perx.com, Dargal.com, and the other interliner sites right? The whole list can be found on the Hub. Also try calling our lay-over hotels. Ask the agents in those cities the next time you fly through too.

Not sure if this is still valid, but if you want to try Puerto Vallarta, call this place.

Puerto Vallarta Beach Hotel 800-962-8920 Special rates of $31 per room.

Wasn't Puerto Vallarta one of the Ports that the Love Boat frequented?
