Maybe if the CIA's overthrow of Iran's dully elected governtment in 1953 hadn't led to the installation of the Shah and his decades of brutal dictatorship we wouldn't be reading the News Max article.

ok that horse left the barn 60 years ago, Isis is an ideology that hates not only us but anyone who doesn't agree with them.
like it or not they are going to have to be stopped. You can do it over there now or if you prefer we can sit on the side lines till they pull off something here, which imo is just a matter of time as things are going now.
Hopefully the current POTUS will wake up and smell the coffee and quit kissing the muslim ass.
He's already showed he's clueless in this by saying 99%of muslims want the same things we do, yes sure they do.Hell I dont 'think  99% living in this country believes that and to top it off he calls them a junior varsity unit. unreal

Balls has little to do with it. He is there in the Middle East.
 
As to what we should do. I'e said before, go before Congress and ask for a formal declaration of War against whomever the Government decides that is. ISIS, whomever, get the Declaration, round up the military and kill everything is sight OR stay home.
 
This non stop meddling just causes what we see today. The Saudi's and the US need their little petrodollar house of cards to remain intact, when it is truly jeopardized then we'll see definitive action. In the mean time the R's & D's will use this uprising as an excuse to take more of our Liberty in the name of safety & security.

Ah, but it seems that burning alive or mutilating goes against the Koran. So this may backfire on ISIS because even al Qaeda wants their demise.

Not true. Many seek the destruction of Western culture and hide behind a smokescreen such as the Israeli-Palestinians thingy. Having lived in Europe most detest the arrogance of a certain culture and cheer for its destruction.
 
Perhaps the murder of the Jordanian pilot will motivate other countries in the ME to do something about ISIS instead of relying on the US to do something. Jordan sure got a bur up their butt and decided to put some skin in the game.

I would like to see some ME countries leading the fight and have the US supply hardware and intelligence and perhaps some air/Naval support. Let some other countries put some skin in the game for a change.
