I am sure this might offend some and bother others. The fact of the matter is that US has not been the great airline that most of its pilots have been led to believe. It has never been a real race winner. Although you have recieved parity +1%. I have been on the sidelines watching this feasco for quite a while. You guys need to understand economics and business long before your company will ever viable venture. The doom and gloom that surrounds your marketplace is not only experienced by your fellow co-workers, but the most important person of all "THE CUSTOMER". I think you should dry your eyes, and most of all remember that your to be professional. Some have long forgotten that. If it goes down, it goes down. Do you fly around worried that something major is going to happen/emergency? Do you always keep bringing it up. Stop the broken record and do your job! You might be suprised when you see something positive happen. If not you tried........................just like your momma taught you. Oh and don't be afraid to look in the mirror. I had to do that once. Take a good look at yourself. Ask yourself if you really have it that bad? There is always someone who has it worse than us. ALWAYS! If you don't believe that, then go ahead a plan that pity party. Save a seat for all your co-workers.

The Future is only as bright as ourselves

Capt. Viagra,

With the use of screen names, I obviously don't know the identities of those who take part in this forum. I would like to think, however, that the vast majority of them are professionals who take their job responsibilities and duties seriously. My only "proof" is the comments make here by some of our customers.

Many years ago, when my youngest was at that age where she had more energy than hours in the day to use it, she attended a parochial preschool. Every day after school she would turn into a "Tasmanian Devil". When asked why, she replied that she couldn't misbehave in "God's house" so she had to get let it out somewhere.

Likewise, those of us going through this roller-coaster ride "have to let it out somewhere". We could take it out on the customers, we could yell at the wife and kids, we could kick the dog - or we can come here. Seems like a pretty reasonable outlet.

You are correct. The whining will not stop until long after US is absorbed by multiple carriers.

Capt. Viagra BIG question: Are you looking in the mirror before or after popping the little blue pill? Yes, you are right. I guess there are a lot of people that have it worse. The fact that one needs a little blue pill to attain a woody really is pathetic.
