To answer your question, the answer is yes. Language qualified crew get $1.00 extra an hour (over normal pay-scale hourly wage) on desiginated flights. So if you work flight 71 for example which goes from Detroit (DTW) to Nagoya, Japan (NGO) and finally on to Manila, Philippines a Japanese speaker or a Filipino speaker would quailfy for the extra buck. Language desiginated flights are listed each month in the bid packet.
