When I was hired by AA in 1985 we were all called AIRLINE MECHANICS. There was no distinction nor should there be between line and overhaul mechanics. We both have the same license and there is no task one can do that the other can't. For this reason it is very frustrating when I and my coworkers read that now since AA management calls Tulsa an MRO, we are no longer deserving of pay and benefits of an airline mechanic. Also I must point out that there is lots of seniority in Tulsa and many of us would have bid to the line years ago if the pay was better. We overhaul American Airlines acft. I, nor many of my coworkers, are willing to take less money because someone in South America claims they can do the same quality work for less. AA will now let them and we will see how the quality is. It is well known the condition of the 757s that came back from an MRO. You get what you pay for.

Your list is a point I've made repeatedly. Del Valle is also gone, and so are several others who nobody ever paid attention to because they were in places like Finance, Revenue Management, Accounting, etc. who are off the radar for front line employees...

The management team at AMR is not the same that was in place in 2008. But nobody wants to hear facts like that. Y'all got the pound of flesh you asked for, but apparently now you want seconds.

Just give it time -- if the merger goes thru, the same people who demanded Carty, Arpey, and Horton "have to go" will be saying that about Parker, Isom, Kirby...

I want seconds and just like AA, let's go for thirds. What a bunch of A-holes we have here! #### can them ALL!!! The faster the better. I like the idea of Tommy H interviewing with APA tomorrow to TRY and save his hide. Good luck with that Tommy boy! I would like to work for a company that I enjoy going to work for again. I am tired of working at a crap hole that treats me like #### and takes advantage of us every day. Like I said before, get rid of the A-holes and bring in some real talent.

Yea, as he walks away with millions, millions from our pension, our benefits etc , I'm sure he will really be upset. All we will be doing is paying off one A-hole and bringing in another.

unfortunately this is highly probable. Lots will be bumping. But don't worry 66. AA is re-writing the bid and transfer rules so they can deny anyone a bid. But be careful what you wish on someone else.

My question is where have the airline people gone? Guys like Crandall and Kelleher are long gone and all that have come to take their places are bean counters and shysters. They are all here to stockpile personal wealth and not here to build airlines anymore. Horton learned from Arpey who learned from Carty. Lorenzo and Icahn started the ball rolling.
