Looks like the devil's advocate is now sitting pretty thanks to the democrats. This time it's not Al Pacino but an individual who can do real damage. Hope the democratic voters are happy. If they believe more jobs, better wages and benefits and security and happy times will follow their votes, well then, there are a ton of lost and very confused voters out there.

And there had not been a successful attack prior to 9/11 either. The previous attempted bombing of the tower was a failure as was the shoe bomber and the attempt stopped by the British earlier this year.
Neither statement really means anything. All it means is we have not had an attack. No one knows why. It could be related to security. It could be that there are better targets. It could be that the undertaking of an attack such as 9/11 is very difficult. With out knowing why there has not been an attack, one can not place blame or kudos.
Again, Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. There is no indication that what ever weapons or aspirations Sadam may have had that they were directed at the US. The animosity and anger toward the US now is far greater than it was prior to 9/11. There seem to be far more arguments that we are less safe now and the risk for attack is far higher than the other way around.

You're wasting your breath, Garfield. Local 12 is a conserva-blog-spotting wind-up artist. He'll post things as "fact" and even call people "experts in their field" or "scientists" even though they are really special-interests individuals making a sales pitch. He is gullible and subscribes to anything he reads on a conserva-blog so it isn't really worth responding to his blog snippets that are very tainted. Oh yeah...and after demanding a plan for Iraq from you, me, and so many others that he opposes...and after we gave our ideas on a plan he refused to and continues to. Just a bunch of hot air that I have stopped responding to. Not worth your effort, Garfield. There are many others on these boards that I disagree with but can do so in a civil manner b/c they are mature debaters. Local 12's credibility is right up there with 700.

My responses are directed at those who may stumble upon his posts. With out some sort of rebuttal, they may just take his rantings at face value. That would be unfortunate. Perhaps with a opposing commentary, that individual will see that just because some thing is printed on the internet, critical thinking is still need to sort out the BS from reality.
