[SIZE=small]It's Here!!Delta Airlines donated its last DC-9 to Carolinas Aviation Museum!  The aircraft, #9870, made its last revenue producing flight on Wednesday, January 22nd. On Thursday January 23rd it was the last DC-9 to leave Atlanta when it flew from there to it's new home in Charlotte.  We are excited to have this new addition to the museum.[/SIZE]

Or you werent aware that DL was doing that, and werent there in your DL Cheerleader outfit performing for the crowd.

sounds to me like DL will get to showcase its history side by side 1549.

That aircraft was originally a Republic Airlines delivery on 12/7/1979. Nice.

they may note its history but DL doesn't do heritage paint schemes... the aircraft was donated by DL and I am certain you won't see any other paint scheme on it other than one of DL's.

The DC9 family did enter service with DL.
