The topic here is Change for Tulsa!
What a crock!
This whole union is about Tulsa. Since TUL has the mere numbers to vote in any contract, the rest of us are screwed.
Burchette and Co. would allow AA to get rid of all the line stations before TUL is touched. He would then make sure no "line" mechanics would be allowed to bump into TUL.
One may say, well, Burchette, is just protecting his members.
So what does this mean? This means only TULSA MATTERS.
Hopeful, I agree with you but there’s more to the big picture.
I’m not here to defend Tulsa or slam Tulsa. I know Tulsa has the voting power to swing the vote anyway they want.
The TWU has used scare tactics for years on Title II to get the vote they wanted. It’s clear by the numbers below that Title II is swinging this vote by far. These numbers below are also parallel to card drive numbers.
Tulsa vote count for 2003 was as follows.
3998 yes and 1869 no for a difference of 2129.
Title I vote count for 2003 was as follows.
6250 yes and 6173 no for a difference of 77.
Title II vote count for 2003 was as follows.
1272 yes and 459 no for a difference of 813.
Title IV vote count for 2003 was as follows.
101 yes and 15 no for a difference of 86.
