The Largest Newspaper.....in ..N O R T H...C A R O L I N A ..has endorsed a Black Man/Democrat over(Republicans) McCain/Palin !!

On one hand it says a lot about the Charlotte "NC" Observer(this would NOT have happened 25 years ago).

And,

On the other hand, this speaks VOLUME'S(and Volume's can be (+) or (-)..), about McCain Palin.

North Carolina has more Yanks from up north than there are Yanks up North! The demographics down here has changed tremedously in the past 25 yrs. We went from six non stop flights from RDU-LGA in 1987 to over 20 (maybe more in better times).

And, if I remember correctly, the Charlotte N&O endorsed Harvey Gantt (an African/American) who was a two time mayor in CLT in his race against Jesse Helms.

Our conservative brethren are more vocal than the rest of us which is probably why are surprised an african american has been endorsed by the N&O. We are more progressive than we are given credit for being.

The Observer endorsed Kerry too and his running mate Edwards who was from NC and they still lost!
