JOB CREATION TAX CREDITS APPROVED FOR BUSINESS EXPANSION PROJECTS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 23, 2005

Columbus, OH --
Republic Airways Holdings, Chautauqua Airlines and Republic Airlines, located in Columbus (Franklin County), has been awarded a 60 percent tax credit for a seven-year term to expand operations. The value of the tax credit will be $545,756 over the term, and the company would be required to maintain operations at the site for 14 years. Republic Airways Holdings is a multi-layered venture with Chautauqua and Republic Airlines. The proposed project includes the development of an expanded maintenance center located at the Port Columbus International Airport, which will support the growth associated with the additional aircraft. This expansion will include the addition of a significant number of maintenance technicians. In addition, the project will include the expansion of the Chautauqua Airlines crew base and the development of a Republic Airlines crew base (pilots and flight attendants). The more than $16.7 million project is expected to retain 277 positions and create 98 jobs within the first three years of the projects initial operation.

Doesn't Eagle have a maintenance base in CMH as well? Could CMH be the next RJ hub for AA?
