I am not Santa. You only get one choice.
When I first opened it I thought it was a 3 wick candle but they had gotten a good deal on candles w/ no wicks.....silly me.I will never forget when I heard my doorbell ring and then a huge THUMP outside my front door.. . only to open it and there it was; the cheese heard round the world.
And I must admit I devoured every piece of that cheese. . I took it to several parties and always ended up taking it home with me. . it was never ending!![]()
I presume that it was a gift from your employer??
It was, with a little note inside from Wolf and Gangwal.
Despite the presence of the note, the cheese (sharp cheddar) was still quite tasty.
The wheel was about 6" across and about 5" thick. It could have easily doubled as a cannonball.
Or a wheel on Fred Flintstone's car.
Actually USair never gave out $100 bills, they presented a check for one hundred and then taxed it! Piedmont was much classier. That fresh new $100 bill that Piedmont handed out was a very nice gesture at the time. After the merger, US gave it a shot for 1 or 2 years, until they started bleeding cash like mad. It's been all downhill ever since, with the exception of a few profitalbe years since 1989.
