Looks like CLE-LGW will return to year-round service starting in May 2005. 😀

Maybe this time they will schedule a decent connection to/from PIT, which lost its LGW flight.

This could be one reason it's coming back. I imagine many Western PA travellers would sooner drive or connect in CLE than deal with a connection in NYC or PHL.

We do get alot of passengers from western PA, I wish Continental would fly some RJ's CLE-PIT.

Are the 4 Continental Connection Beeches the only remaining flights between CLE and PIT? It's hard to believe that so few people want to fly this route, even as short as it is.

Yep, UsAir dropped there flights a couple months ago, time for Coex to fly some RJs.

Still think CLE-AMS would be a good one -- would save a lot of people from having to connect at East Coast airports, and SkyTeam offers a vast range of destinations from AMS -- at LGW you basically get London, the south of england and a few connections with flybe.

...conversely, DL has launched CVG-AMS. I think it is fair to assume that CO would use a 757 and with DL's 76-3, it might be too much of a disadvantage for CO.

Pre-9/11, CO had said that CLE-CDG O&D was just about break even for the flight and that a few connecting pax would probably make it profitable. Since the codeshare with AF is back, I don't know whether AMS or CDG would be the better European route.

Mittal Steel, which is merging with ISG of Richfield is in Rotterdam, which may tip things to AMS...assuming CO does either one, of course.

I still hear rumors that CLE will get another international flight, AMS,FRA or CDG..I think AMS would work the best.
