Today the hard working CLT employees did not receive their pay checks. No reason was given. Just an apology in workbrain & saying it would be after 10A on Fr.
This is just another huge slap in the face to the hard working employees many who now live day to day and need that check very bad. Our exs. are out there making millions & I bet they get paid. They should've at least given a reason.
Are they now expecting us to work completely for free ?

I would demand answers from Dougie and company by writing him and e-mail and CC all of management and the union reps asap, even if you get the check tomorrow, it shows a major disrespect to employees when no explanation is provided.

What? Some person go on vacation or call in sick who handles ALL the pay sheets?

Give me a break.

Start yapp'in. B)

I read somewhere that the payroll systems were supposed to be merged to a single system this summer. Maybe thats the first glitch! They made several errors last winter with the HP F/A payroll.

It's probably some technical glitch, or missed getting out in company mail or something simple. Maybe the flight the checks were on had to divert or something . .who knows?

Things like that happen.

Some people still don't have direct deposit??? I understand it's a personal choice for some people, but there are more risks when paper checks are delivered across the country.

Payroll has been screwin up phx fa paychecks for months... One month they out all of our per diem under taxable! That same month some people didn't even get paid like a handful of reserves!!!

Welcome to our world!

Doug at his desk:

"Hmm...let's see...capital gains on stock options or employee payroll? Lemme think...thinking...which is more important...which is more important to me and my buddies?...OH YEAH! Now I know what to do!"

Lest you think me a jester, let's wait and see what the excuse is.

Before the board goes into complete meltdown.... you do realize that our actual paydate is Friday, correct?

People on this board would "meltdown" and blame management if it were to snow tomorrow in PHX.

And no ..I am not a member of management, and I'm not a "kool-aid" drinker. If I ever feel like I'm getting screwed by management ..I'll leave.

this is true the pay date is the 18th...and if you catch up with the 90s and get direct deposit your money would be in the bank...

Um, guys, at large companies NORMALLY the paydays are set to FRIDAY but they routinely process paychecks on THURSDAY just so that if there is a glitch or a problem you can still get your paychecks ON TIME (wiggle room). I do not know if this is the case or not however we've had one poster so far indicate that it is. It is not unusual for once every few years or 5 years or whatever that paychecks show up ON TIME instead of EARLY

Well I'm sorry but in 33 years of worklife I've NEVER had a paycheck delivered late. Even when we had 23 inches of snow the check were waiting for us. Now no one could get to work but the checks were there.

It's all about how you value your workers and customers whether you make the added extra effort.

If the company can't handle a basic task, how am I as a customer supposed to feel when I connect through CLT. Why would someone who can't get his/her check on time go Above & Beyond for me?

Let's hope there is a courier on the earliest flight from PHX, it would do wonders to demonstrate Managements committment to run a different airline.

Is there a typo with your ID? Seems like it should be Whineybob. Direct deposit is the only way to go. What would have happened to the check if it had been there on Thursday and you were sick or on vacation, would it be managements fault that you didnt get it on Thursday?

If you go to work for the Commonwealth of Virginia you are required to have direct deposit, no checks and they will help you set but a savings account at the credit union.

Also twice when I worked for the Commonwealth of Virginia the credit union did not credit accounts with paychecks and everyone at the credit unoin got paid a day late. (So it does happen)

I have never understood why anyone would not have direct deposit.

First of all I do have to agree that direct deposit is the way to go, but that's my choice.
The thing is there was no reason given for this except a note in workbrain (telling us nothing) saying after 10A Fr.(today) Also a big note on the door at admin that pretty much had the same thing. Admin. door shut. To me that says "don't bug us".

While this must be a "Shocker" to someone in CLT, it happened several times a year to those of us who USED to work in the outstations. Our checks were supposed to come on a direct flight out of DCA, and didn't show up until a few days later at times. Once we lost the DCA service, they started routing them thru PHL...any you can only imagine what happened then. After this the company started to send them by FedEx, so that we would be certain to get them. I for one had direct deposit for years since the checks had the possibility of not coming in due to a cancellation or weather problems. I recall one time when our station was fogged in for 3 days, and the checks didn't come in until the flights were able to get in afterwards. I had my payroll in my account on payday, while several of my fellow employees were sweating it out, and complaining the entire time.
