I think this is the lowest number of mainline DL aircraft in CMH in decades.

December schedule

3 to ATL, 1 to CVG and 1 to LAX.

How much longer do you think that CMH-LAX will hang in there?

There will probably be another tweaking of the schedule before the winter travel season, so the schedule could change by the time December rolls around.

It doesn't change the fact that Delta's scheduled service from CMH has really been faltering as of late. Along with the mainline reductions scheduled to take place in September, service to SLC, MCO, and DCA all loose a frequency. CMH-JFK gets bumped up to 3x daily from the current 1x daily, but that has more to do with the huge build-up of JFK. If things continue in this fashion, there won't be much of a focus city left in Columbus.

As far as the CMH-LAX nonstop is concerned, all I've heard from the folks at Delta around here is that it does extremely well as far as loads are concerned, and I heard that the flight does see a fair amount of cargo. But recently I heard it too is in danger of being cut. So we'll see what Delta has in store for CMH, but right now it doesn't look very good...

The added JFK flights probably has more to do with B6 coming to CMH in Oct.

Some very late schedule modifications for Delta out of CMH have been added for September. The above-mentioned frequency decreases are still effective, however 3 routes get flights upgraded from and ERJ-145 to an EMB-170:

CMH-FLL goes from 1x ER4 to 1x E70
CMH-TPA goes from 2x ER4 to 1x E70, 1x ER4
CMH-DCA goes from 1x ER4, 1x CRJ to 1x E70, 1x CRJ

However, it looks like the above changes are only effective for the month of September. I wonder if it has to do with Shuttle's pullback from SLC as well as Chautauqua/Republic filling in for Mesa out of JFK.

Also, the September schedule shows 6 mainline flights remaining out of CMH:

ATL: 3x 738, 1x M88
CVG: 1x 738
LAX: 1x 738
