Has any one asked the question as to why we have to have our ID replaced every couple of years now?

Is that a TSA thing?

And since we are having our ID's replaced...why aren't we getting new photos? Am I supposed to fly to PHX to get a new one? And if so...did they forget that the majority of their employees are based on the east coast and it just might be inconvenient?

Why don't they have the photo machines at the east coast bases?

Hell, my pic is 15 yrs and 20 lbs old!!

Yuo, it's a TSA thing.
For what it's worth, employees in at least one station report that when the new "swoosh" IDs were issued, the station received them for employees furloughed years earlier and whose recall rights had lapsed.

I beleive all the regulation says is a "clear full face photo" it doesn't specify that the photo has to be current.

In other words, it could be a picture of Elvis as long as it a full, front pic and they'd never care.

At AA, every employee had to have a new photo taken for the new id badge. I agree that it doesn't make much sense to issue a new badge with a 20 year old picture. Even I have changed a smidge in 20 years.
