I played intramural sports and in my experience there were always plenty of lighthearted gay jokes in the locker room, many coming from the gay guys themselves. Just because we're gay doesn't mean we're hyperpolitically correct or we don't like to fool around... Lol. This notion that gays aren't any fun only exists in a narrative that you construct for yourself in order to marginalize your political opponents

Which is great to hear but, liberals, like Tree, don't see it that way. Any joke about any ethnicity, other than "White" of course or sexual preference, other that "hetero" of course, is grounds for slander and should be dealt with appropriately!

I'm pretty sure you, dell, and I are in agreement. Looking forward to the day when gay pro athletes are NBD. Sams is taking us a step in the right direction.

If there would not have been discrimination in the first place then this conversation would not be taking place. When Sally Ride got selected and then went up it was huge news. Far more so than any recent males who were selected at the time. When ever barriers are broken it makes the news. Don't like hearing about it then remove the barriers.

PS. When the SCOTUS reverses the ban on equal marriage, it will be huge new for at least several days.
