Contract Maintenance.

Slowly snipping at the safety net.....But who cares, as long as the seats are cheap.....

Unfortunately the philosophy of airline management boils down to this fact.

It is CHEAPER to pay claims for fatalities than it is to maintain quality and reliability. That is why outsourcing is becoming more popular with these short sighted "academic eggheads."

I promise you that blood will be on their hands sooner than later

At this point a accident of any severity would surley be the end of USAirways.
The finger pointing and attempts to place the blame on someone else that have become the trademark of U management will not save the airline in the event of a accident whether it is a result of outsourced maint. or not.

As far as the blood on their hands, when the time comes I'm sure that U management will lose no sleep as they will surley have someone else to blame for how that blood got there.
