(Dumb) Friggin' management !

Pulling SH!T like this in NY, is a PERFECT way to START a WAR, that THEY will LOSE !

WORK to RULE !............(It WORKS every Time) !!

Forced OT ? (Accept the letter/you cannot refuse it, work 1 hour, then GO HOME SK !!!)(You can't get an attendence step for SK, when it occurs on Overtime).

I knew a guy I worked with at AA, who had a brother who was a Doctor, and another brother who was a lawyer.

But wait, it gets even BETTER.

Their Father was a District Court Judge. The same District that the Airport(think AA) was in

Now how often do you think local management screwed with that Guy ?????????????????

I've got a new idea, how about letting the corporate security goons fix the airplanes. Let see them earn their pay....

Undoubtedly the rules also specify no sleeping on the job.

Exactly, and if you want to see management really panic let them see everyone out there working during the 5am conference.

Look anyone who claims management was unaware is full of it. I recall Presidents Conferences where someone from Fleet would complain directly to Crandall about the mechaincs sitting around, sleeping etc and Crandalls reply was "As long as my airplanes are ready to go I dont have a problem with that-NEXT QUESTION'.

The B-check at LGA was nearly always on the gate on time, AA was getting a good deal from the B-check, just like the 4 hour engine changes they used to get at JFK . The company wants change, well I guess they will get it.
Well I guess we'll will just sign the OT list,,,, for now.

If the work rules and/or pay do not satisfy you then you should leave and find something more rewarding.

All the guys who are gaming sick time or workers comp issues are going to get more scrutiny. Guys sleeping on the job are going to be canned. Same thing is going to happen with agents, management, etc.

Every SLACKER AA can fire now is one less junior ee they'll need to furlough later.

BTB works both ways!

Never in my time at AA (20 years) have I seen or heard of a manager (and higher) being fired - that is, actually hitting the street.

I've seen them shuffled, seen them placed into new and unnecessary new positions created for the occasion, given to a different director, and in only one case, a manager (may have been a director) was demoted (word was that he requested the demotion), but never actually a termination. With respect to layoffs, manager and above at AA is akin to a position with the post office - no way will these people go anywhere. Another position will be created, as always, to protect them.

WE HAVE ONE @DFW RIGHT NOW THAT PENCIL-WHIPPED AN ENTIRE A-CHECK AND WAS CAUGHT BY THE FAA! HE WAS FIRED A YEAR AGO FOR OTHER REASONS??? AND CAME BACK AFTER ABOUT 3 WEEKS TO DAY SHIFT??? YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY...SCREW-UP, MOVE UP! NOW HE IS ON ADMIN. LEAVE FOR 6 MONTHS??? HE EVEN PISSES OF THE REPS FOR OUR CONTRACT MAINT. ! AND THEY KEEP HIM AROUND? PRIME EXAMPLE! WHAT ABOUT THE GUY THAT SPEED TAPED THE UPPER BEACON(REMOVED IT AND TAPED OVER THE HOLE) DID NOTHING TO HIM! HE WORKS IN ANOTHER DEPT!

REMEMBER THEY CUT 22% OF MANAGEMENT WHEN WE TOOK THE 03 PAYCUTS???? WHERE????????

STICK IT IN DEEP LGA!!!!!!!

I can't believe the number of people on this thread who advocate sleeping on the job. Its pathetic! If you are able to get your work done and still have enough time left over to sleep on the clock, then perhaps AA needs to look and dropping some of these people either to part time, or altogether.

If I ever intentionally slept on the job I would expect to have my ass kicked onto the unemployment line. There is absolutely no way to condone sleeping on the clock, it is pure theft from the employer, union or otherwise. If a union can have an employee reinstated who was terminated for sleeping on the job then it is no wonder AA fights these unions over their contract demands. I would hate like hell to have to support AA on something but sleeping on the job? Yep, your fanny deserves to be marched out whether it has been overlooked in the past or not, it is still wrong.

If you're done with your work, tell the boss to either find something for you to do or save the company some money and send you home.

I haven't been this pissed off in some time after reading this thread!
