Well, I usually just read and see what's being said, but I joined to defend my co workers against exagerations, rumor and innuendo from NH Blackbear. BOS has, in general, very good people working there and we don't need some bitter former worker with an ax to grind talking out his rear end. NH BBear was a trouble maker when he worked here, which is why he left for ORD with his tail between his legs. I'm sure none of those things he described go on in any other station, do they? Don't paint us all with the same brush, especially when your living in a glass house NH BBear.

He isn't the only one with less than stellar things to say about BOS. I do recall a post where it was intimated that BOS was staffed by thugs. Sometimes the best thing to do is let it go rather than go on a personal attack.

Point taken. I just don't want the perception of BOS like that. Are there bad people in BOS, sure, but you can say that about any station. Just don't make everyone think BOS is the only station like that. I've worked in 5 stations, and everyone of them has the same problems in one way or another. Don't single out BOS for a system wide problem.

I've heard from the Grapevine, that things in BOS have "mellowed" shall we say.

Besides, all my(FACTUAL) points about BOS were in the past, not the Present.(I'm not saying one way or another what goes on in BOS today, because I don't KNOW for sure)

Obviously..aabosman was an "Early Inductee" in the famous (BOS) "Go along..to get along" Club !!!! :wub:

Wow, what a great source, a former AA GM who hasn't worked in BOS in two decades. That's up to date info NHBB. All I am saying is that you are GROSSLY exaggerating what happened in BOS when you were there, and the people you coyly refer to in you original post are people, I know for a fact, you had a huge ax to grind with. They were not friends of mine, but I saw the feud you had with them. So your hardly objective, are you? As a former union man, you should know better than to air garbage like that for the company to read. But, like I said, once a rat, always a rat. The difference now is that your retired and can't go running to Management like you did when you were on the job.

I don't see anything wrong with sleeping on the clock. As long as the right to do so is in your contract, that is. You know, like it is for the pilots and FAs on long-haul flights where crew rest is mandatory. Pilots and FAs are subject to termination for sleeping during a flight that's too short to include crew rest.

Don't wanna be fired for sleeping on the clock? Get The Worthless Union to include permission to do so in the next contract. Isn't that what collective bargaining is for?

Yes Ed. As you like to twist things. A domestic duty day VS a international single leg flying time. Apples and oranges.

What YOU and I know(that the other good folks on the AA board Do NOT KNOW, save for the possible exception of Bob Owens), is that...out of a Big focus city like BOS is(meaning Hundreds of FSC's) that one could use all of there fingers and toes to count on how many REAL STAND UP UNION GUYS are in BOS,................and have a few fingers/toes LEFT OVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a "so called" Union station, BOS was a MISERABLE Failure(With the exception of BOS/FF) !!!!!!!!!!!

But don't take my word for it. I'm sure you remember the toughest union president BOS EVER HAD( J. F.)(First name John)(An ANTI-TWU LEGEND, for the twu being in bed with the F***ING company)..He had the (BOS) membership pegged to a tee, for NOT having ANYTHING between their Legs :blush:
