Additional Flight Capacity Also Being Added for New Hampshire Primary

In addition, US Airways will operate larger Boeing jets on this route to accommodate demand from Washington for the New Hampshire primary on Jan. 27, 2004.

Beginning Feb. 9, 2004, US Airways Express will replace its three daily turboprop flights between Manchester and Reagan National with 50-seat Embraer regional jets operated by

For this year’s primary, US Airways is upgrading its service by replacing two of its three daily 37-seat Dash 8 turboprop flights from Reagan National to Manchester for Friday Jan. 23, 2004, with 126- and 144-seat Boeing 737 aircraft. The upgraded flights will depart Reagan National at 9:40 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and will arrive in Manchester at 11:19 a.m. and 4:57 p.m., respectively.

US Airways also will use the larger Boeing aircraft for customers returning from the primary on Jan. 28, 2004. These flights will depart Manchester at 11:50 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., and will arrive at Reagan National at 1:28 p.m. and 7:03 p.m., respectively.

It is amazing how they can add capacity to a "northern" city(MHT origional Allegheny)for a one time every four year event, but have never been able to add capacity to a "southern" city(GSO original Piedmont) twice per year during the INTERNATIONAL furniture exposition.

Now if I was working in GSO, I would pick up the phone and call scheduling and tell them about the furniture show. MHT was working on this for 6 month's and it happened.
