Deborah Thompson back for a while?

This is about Deborah Thompson, not who got screwed ... let's get back on topic......

If it is true that Deborah has come back, this is the best news I've heard about this airline in very long time. Not enough to make me start flying US again, but a big step in the right direction. She was hard as nails when she needed to be, but fair in every case. I made a call to DL senior management and tried to get them to hire her when she left US, but no avail.

I have confirmed (not through Deborah directly, but through another person in the know) that she is back at US as a consultant, but NOT in a customer relations capacity. Sorry, folks -- you'll just have to put up with the form letters, or start flying a real airline.
 
Why do you guys smack talk Tempe so much? You airline has been garbage long before Parker too over.

You need to start treating the West with manners, because we are going to start biting back.
Well to begin with calling Us East garbage prior to our affliliation with the GLAMOROUS AWA, Well you know what they say about opinions. The attacks are aimed at the incompetent management and their awful buisness decision's that are sending our high yeild customers to our competetors. Not to mention this fiasco of a merger. This makes the fourth one i've endoured, and by far the worst. When these idiot's in Tempe start hiring talent with a global vision, instead of these regional minded folks, then maybe the tide will start to turn. No one's bashing the hard working line employee's.

I was told she is being brought in as a consultant for the Emergency Response Department. It doesn't look like she will be dealing with Customer Service.
 
Rumor over on flyertalk is that Deb is back on a consultancy basis in Tempe. If true, this is both remarkable and very welcomed.

Hopefully Deborah Thompson's RETURN will turnaround the S.S. Titanic that Team Tempe has afloat. It is obvious that Tempe has NO CLUE in how to handle delicate customer service issues. The old US Crystal Palace commrades were no Mother Teresa's of Customer Service but they sure as heck didn't alienate even their own workforce. (On a recent flt last week, even a West jumpseater walked off in disgust when an a/c was delayed 6hours due to a fueling screwup on a 321. I knew two people working that flight and when I was told HOW they handled the situation, all I asked them was "Are you really Surprised?". Watching the bottomline (counting the beans) is one thing, having NO Business Ethics is Another matter. These people need a crash course/brain washing session on Customer Service or maybe some type of Ethnic Cleansing of that Department needs to take place.
 
She is Mayor of a small town in NC, did you know that? She also is a close personal family friend of NC Senator Burr, a prime candidate for McCain's VP job.
