Delta adds service from Los Angeles to Austin, Boise and San Salvador

LAX is really getting a strong network. DEN/ORD/IAD are the big holes.

I also would like to see IAH/SAT/TUS/OKC.

140 flights a day is really going to be pushing the gate space at T5 also. I imagine regular parking at the hangar will happen often.

Also note, MTY will be on a E75 not a CR9. I still think Delta should try to make an offer to buy LAX-MEX from UAL.

LAX-AUS is pretty crowded already... not sure if it will pay off. I hope to see more BOI-type stuff. I'd like to see at least one airline that isn't terrified of WN.

It is, but so are the majority of the new LAX adds for Delta. All these cities are a must have if Delta ever wants to get corp. contracts in LA.

A good example(s) would be BOS (5 carriers) SFO (6 carriers) LAS (5 carriers) etc.

and it all comes down to that DL sees the strategic benefit of LAX and has the financial resources to develop LAX, something they can do by reaping the benefits of the merger - something other carriers are far from doing at anywhere near the same level.
