Whitehurst's immediate resignation is considered a blow to the airline. I wonder if another carrier will be quick to snatch him up? Calling US Airways -- here is an experienced airline executive who would be a great Parker replacement.

As per his contractual agreement, Mr. Whitehurst has been prohibited from working for a competitor for an unspecified period. I thought somebody mentioned 4 years, not sure though. A shame he didn't get the CEO position.
