Delta employee smuggles guns on plane

If you're fired from DL for pass abuse, shouldn't that apply to using someone else's passes? I know that was the case at AA (i.e. if you lost your privileges, you couldn't just fly on someone else's).
That was my point. I would not be surprised to also see the mother lose it all now. I am shocked that someone terminated for pass abuse was not somehow flagged in the non-rev listing system.

Back to the thread topic...just saw on Fox News that Delta and its employees are now the leading smuggler of illegal guns into NYC.  Another NYC first!  Won't Mother be proud.

WT,, what a flamer.....
you missed the part about other carrier's employees being involved in drug smuggling.

it is a fair question to ask what the outcome of those cases were for the carrier.

Jim,
so far as we know it was ONE DL employee and one former employee. If you can establish that it is more than one employee, let us know who else has been involved and when.

This problem has to be nipped in the bud. yesterday.

but, again, drug smuggling has been going on among airline employees for years.

including at your own airline.

none of it is right or defendable.

I remember several high profile drug cases with Eastern and a few with AA. That had a lot to do with the Latin American flying and that being the source of the drugs.

I don't ever remember any gun running cases. I am guessing the gun shows in GA helped. (Not going to turn this into a 2nd amendment thread). I am a firearm advocate/owner.

No carrier is immune. I just wonder what the implications will be for operations employee's going forward.

completely agree, Q.

No activity is any more less illegal.

Any breach of security is a threat to security and trust of the traveling public.

and employee access procedures have been changed and there has been no charge against DL, both of which some of us predicted would happen but others wanted to believe otherwise.

it is worth noting that Rep. Hank Johnson said he feared that Guam would if more people moved there.

He replaced Cynthia McKinney whose name should evoke cringes from most of America.

DHS seems to be handling the situation appropriately

too bad he didn't have a union to save his backside... since we've been told that unions do help employees when they break the law.

someone's next few Christmases are going to look pretty grey - with touches of orange.
butt hurt

No system is flawless if there are insiders determined to break the law.

It was within the last week that we heard that a union can save someone's job if they break the law, wasn't it?

Honestly, if the IAM wants to win the election, they really need to take up this guy's case.
You really need to get help.

So so so much but hurt. You are like Oprah. Butt hurt for you, butt hurt for you, you get butt hurt, everyone gets butt hurt.

The amount of coke we found in some of EA L10s was so sad.

and gun shows are everywhere, but its the hub of the southeast. Get them in and they would be easier to move here (to anywhere across the world than a lot of places.)

and of course we enjoy freedom here in Georgia so its much easier to have guns here than NYC or LA.

did anyone tell you how infantile you sound repeatedly using the butt hurt comment?

and yes the south is generally far more gun tolerant than the NE.

Can you imagine the profit margins if they could have sold what they found on the market?... 😉

Sounds about the same as when some poster(s) use 'grasp' and 'mental horsepower'

These seemed like annual events for awhile...
