Who in their right mind would want to merge with LCC and have to deal with Easts employees? LCC won't be part of any further consolidation until they fix their employee problems.
I have to believe that a very cold chill just settled over the castle. Consolidation has begun and US will be the ugly step-sister that no one wants. If this happens, it's not good news for US. We would have to hook up with someone to compete. My first choice would be CO but they have not expressed any interest in a merger.
No one will want anything to do with LCC as long as the East pilots are in kamikaze mode and happy to destroy other people's investments. While I'm no Parker supporter, I find it hard to believe that we are not talking to anyone. If we are NOT we are gonna be in big trouble. As much as Parker talks about mergers I don't think he'd sit idle as everyone consolidated around him. Who would it be? Northwest is about all we'd really fit with practically. I did say practically so......we know how that goes. 🙄
I would not count on US being in *A if this goes through.wow, just imagine if US became the new flagship North American star alliance carrier after UA's exit.
