Perhaps you could ask the before mentioned pres. Maybe, you do not have the full information/facts?

By the way, the twu says they are democratic so why did they remove two elected officials from the NY local a few years ago?

I believe it was due to their inability to perform the duties bestowed upon them by their membership and the inability to uphold their commitment to the office they were sworn to inhabit.

I know that they were performing the duties that their membership wanted them to do and they were representing us in the most noble way. Ask yourself why would they be reelected if they were unable to uphold their commitment.

I only provided the only answer that I had due to what I had heard through the grapevine. I don't think any Union would have taken action if there had had been any open question that could lead to litigation.

The TWU went after Owens and Schalk because they had been advocates of AMFA. They had been posting on the now defunct THE MECHANIC.COM forum BEFORE they were elected to local leadership. The TWU had it in for them for speaking the truth and assailing Jim Little's regime. The TWU was forcing them to sign a bogus pledge of TWU allegiance knowing they would not. But I am sure Schalk and Owens can give you further details with what happened at the kangaroo court.

You said you heard it through the grapevine. That grapevine was planted in the TWU propaganda vineyard which you could only hear things one way.

By the way the TWU is a THEOCRACY......Only democratic for those who be good little union boys and girls and do not dare question or challenge Jim Little's pillow talk relationship with the company.

I wouldn't call it a Theocracy even though the TWU could loosely be termed a cult religion.

A Theocracy is a form of government run according to religious laws and rules. Think about those who use Depends for hats and you'll have a better understanding.

I would call the TWU more of a racketeering enterprise; non-accountable and non-removable, similar to the old mob "protection" rackets and probably worthy of prosecution under RICO statutes as the union's income is based on non-existant representation while in bed with the enemy.

What's the difference with what happened in NY and what happened in sic and DNA?

With both situations union officials were removed without the membership being consulted.

Ken You and I both walked in front of the White House in support of our brothers at NWA. I wont pretend to know what Bob and Chuck were thinking back then but I do now that they were targeted by the twu because everyone thought that they were going to try and destroy the twu in favor for the AMFA. When mother twu demanded they sign that letter, I know I would have lost all respect for Bob and Chuck if they had signed it. Because they had told the membership what they stood for. What we wanted was to inject some form of democracy into this union and that was a threat to the leadership of the time. I hope this attitude has changed. I guess we will see in September. I listened to ken once when I was in a conversation with him regarding the amfa issue and I asked him a question regarding my seniority if amfa were our representatives. What he did since he couldn't answer my question was go and get Dell Femine, "you know the amfa god" to provide the answer to my question. The answer was, "yes we will sell out your seniority." So what do you think ken has to offer me that I would want to hear?

You know ken is in a new role and shouldn't have time to come here and post stupid comments. He should be more worried about 1st reading and understanding his Constitution, 2nd reading and understanding his Local By-laws, 3rd reading and enforcing his Contract, 4th reading and enforcing Local Guidelines created from within the Contract, 5th reading and understanding external Federal Laws applicable to the members he represents, 6th understanding the enforcement of company rules and policies, 7th processing grievances, 8th educating his members, 9th encouraging the members to support the Union by being involved and attending membership meetings. 10th understanding that he is wearing a badge of honor and is required to support the Union.

I think ken could be a success but he shouldn't force himself into the same crack that the guy's in JFK forced themselves into where they were so busy doing what they thought was their jobs that they forgot to do their jobs....see above

I know those two guys have been given a 2nd chance and from what I hear so far they are doing ok so best of luck to them.

You and ken should set back and look at what the TWU is negotiating for you.....And I mean for you... Look at your job codes, your both winning and don't even know it
