I vote a split ticket,Believe it or Not......i'm kind of in a quagmire here as to what candidate will do what.
I've seen all the commercials I wish for the rest of my life...but pretty much i've seen all kinds of dem attack ads against who voted with Bush,who voted to use the SS trust fund(been doing it since the 70's)...blah...blah...blah.
I know what course the Republicans will seek...but I haven't heard anything as to what alternatives the dem's are offering....Only how bad the Repub's are doing...o alternatives.....

We'll never know, because 85% of the American electorate apparently needs their position information distilled down to 3 words or less. So far, it's a choice between "Stay the Course" or "Cut and Run". One day, maybe soon, the "Dems" will be back in power. The day after, the good ole USA will still be here. The day after that day too, and the one after that. The terrorosts will not win anything. They will be hunted down just the same. Maybe the real middle class will get a real tax cut. Maybe the government will be allowed to negotiate for drug prices. Maybe vets will have thier benefits returned to pre GOP levels.

How about a deficit that is exponentially worse than it has ever been. You do realize that you can go out and view current and past federal budgets, don't you? If you look at the current and recent budgets, you will see that we are spending much more. Unfortunately we have slashed education and science funding among most other funds except for military. Our thinned-out military has cost us lives, military recruiting power, and our future as a leader in science (we're already being surpassed...just look who is studying at our universities or researching with our major companies...it isn't US citizens).

I'm not sure how to get through to you but IRAQ WAS NOT THE WAR ON TERROR. It is just being mixed into that fear bag but if you can think ALLLLLLL the way back to a couple of years ago you will remember that we were told that there was an imminent threat from their WMDs and this must be stopped. Of course we have since found out that the CIA did NOT draw the same conclusions as our president who was the salesman of the war. But we have since taken care of that problem...got rid of the old leadership at the CIA.
