Thanks for posting letter......it's nice to read something, rather then listen to rhetoric from a whiner.

I agree with Gary and he makes valid points that have all come up in conversations regarding the TA as we discuss it in Tulsa.

However, I would like see someone lay out the plan or expectations if we send the negotiators back.

This TA has divided the TWU membership up in an unprecedented fashion, so how will the issues Gary raised be fixed?

The NMB will not allow us to start from scratch.

If we went to a PEB we cannot start from scratch and succeed.

The NO vote will not be unanimous enough to conclude we could successfully strike.

What I am saying is,

We can all see the faults in the TA and they are many, but what is the plan to correct it?

The wonderful TWU has us in a submission hold and we might have to tap out and immeidatley ask for the "early opener" option to be invoked the day after DOS.

I agree with the letter 100 percent.
Let the NMB put us on ice and head back to the table after UAL and Continental hammer out some rates of pay or pull the strike vote and hit the light switch on the way out. Eleven years and nine percent is not unionism its a disgrace to it. FU PAY ME

I like the theme he went with on unionism, because I don't feel like we are in a union. And pay is part of the unionism theme. I'm just wondering what the intl reaction will be to this letter.

The "theme" Gary's letter holds is the reason why he ran for office; as well as myself. As for the Intl.'s reaction to this I say, "Who cares?" The Intl. doesn't control our local, or any other local... the membership does. That is why the membership will vote this ta down in large numbers. I say large numbers because we need to educate everyone about why this ta is bad not only for AMTs at American but also throughout the commercial aviation section. This ta needs to be killed completely.

"Just tells me that all are not on board the concession train over there."

No, we are NOT all on board with this ta. The E-Board here is 100% against this anti-union/anti-labor ta. We are voting NO!

I think the first order of business is for Tulsa to send someone other than Steve Luis, or Gary Yingst!

Ditto, "FU PAY ME". The way I heard it, the TWU is telling me; "WHAT ARE YOU GUYS WAITING FOR? ..... MECHANICS HAND THE COMPANY PERFECT AND FIRST NO OTS AIRCRAFT DAY IN RECENT HISTORY? ARE YOU GUYS OUT OF YOUR F-ING MINDS?

MY READING AND COMPREHENSIVE SKILLS ARE SLOWING. ...DAILY. IS IT OLD AGE, BEING NEARLY 50? OR IS IT SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE INSULT WE ARE OFFERED IN LIEU OF A DECENT CONTRACT? I HAVE JUST OVER 15 YEARS TO GO BEFORE I RETIRE AT 65 AND IF YOU DON'T MAKE THIS UP TO US YOU WILL PAY IN SPADES, MR. RPeee !!!

I THINK I WILL BID THE INTL CREW NEXT TIME.
