DFW Crashpad available for a comuter.
$300 per month.
Private room in a 4-bedroom house.
Shared with two pilots.

Not trying to be tacky, but that must be some fancy crashpad. A friend has her own bed in a shared room in NYC crashpad for $225/mo. I pay $175/mo in STL for semi-private room (1 roommate).
 
I take that since you live in STL you aren't interested. But thank you so much for the useful, intelligent and insightful post.
 
Actually, no. I live in Dallas in Kessler Park. And the $300 you are asking for a crashpad is almost as much as my condo mortgage payment. Like I said, must be one fancy crashpad.
 
Forgot to mention...
There are no f/as left at DFW who really need a crashpad. Every f/a currently working at AA has over 3 years on the line. That means they only have to serve reserve 3 times/year max. With new reserve preferences, it is possible to avoid sitting around DFW on an on-call day.

Besides, the few commuters who have to come in the night before a trip or stay the night after, can stay at one of the high-rise hotels near the airport which gives airline employees a $25/night rate. It's not the Ritz-Carlton, but it ain't the Dew
Drop Inn, either.
