Diversions

Cannot even pull a flifo in qik/shares. Cannot even reconcile a flight, we don't even know who we boarded ! Why even have a computer, do everything manual. This system sucks.
 
Flight 707 PHL-SFO stopped in MCI. And its an A320.

These diversions on the A320 seem to be happening more and more. The other day we flew down to Turks, Caicos and Providenciales, we were already running late, then after being delayed even more, we had an unscheduled stop in FLL for fuel on the way back to PHL. Pax were so mad because they paid for a nonstop flight and had connections that they missed. Needless to say, we were miserable the whole flight because it was full of irate passengers and we had a very long day with a flight to and from the Caribbean and then another short hop after that. Not only that, we didn't have enough food for the pax and we had to go out and do an extra service (one to FLL and one to PHL) and listen to the complaining twice as much. If I hear one more person say to me "I'm never flying US Airways again" I am going to scream. I understand why these people are angry but I am not the person who makes the decisions around here and unfornately there's really nothing I can do. We just told everybody to write the company and complain because they don't listen to the employees and it wasn't our decision and it is just as much of an inconvenience for us as it is for them. It was utterly embarrassing to say the least.

So explain to me why they can use this system in PHX and LAS etc. without any problems - and why other airlines like CO use it and seem to not have the problems that US east has? And of everyone that says it isn't a system for an international carrier - look at CO - they have more flights out of the country than any other airline - go figure!
 
Maybe the version they use is slightly different or the have a better IT department perhaps?

Uh - I think that you have the same IT department in PHL as PHX as LAS - doubt that US has different ID departments for east versus west - only a guess though. In any event - I've flow through PHX and LAS many times on US - and never had a problem because of the computer system - so why is it such a big issue in the east?

Oh and lets not forget that the gates at the hubs out east are staffed with ONE agent. Cannot say that for many gates in PHX or LAS.

Because East was a bigger airline than west. With international flights and 10 express partners.

Someone earlier asked about CO--the difference is their IT people do things to overlay shares that do not suck. Unlike Tempe.

That would be a GREAT addition to our general boarding and arrival announcement. LOL!
 
Again, how many agents work a gate in PHX or LAS? I think most cases you'll see TWO.

At least 90% of the SHARES comments on here by the crybabies don't even work for the company. It's just the latest minor issue that they try chisel on. I hear lots of cheers for the QIK interface as it handles a majority of the customer contact issues.

I don't know, why are there 16 or so pages of critcal fixes??? This is how long after the cross over???
