NBC New York describes the free-spirited dog as a "30-pound Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy," saying it was on a Memphis-bound Delta flight when it got loose.

COME ON, DELTA!! Like you didnt get enough media coverage when YOU lost the Whippet dog at JFK years ago. That dog was NEVER found. shame on you!!!

i guess blaming the $9/hr ramp dude that actually did it is just too much to ask.

But you can credit him single handedly for the $124 million profit for this qtr.

After Delta's track record on dog transportation, anyone who takes a dog with them or ships via DELTA is F _ _ KING STUPID.

Someone holding a gun to this Dude's head, forcing him to work for $9/hr ?

Since you never miss an opportunity to carry the company's water, I'm surprised you didn't point out that no one on the ramp makes $9.00...

If you ever took the time to read all the post's in the topic, instead of just mine, you'd see I was responding to whipmaster !

Don't carry the company's water and don't have to pay them in order to work..........unlike you wanting to pay a union, in order to work !

you are totally missing the point...the fact is that one person caused this mishap, not the whole!

fact of the matter is....sh*t happens!

Dear stupid pet owner,

Why would you want to make your pet common cargo? It is YOU who is the problem. Pets are best left home or in a kennel. It is more humanely than subjecting them to freezing temps and limited oxygen.

Just for a rude awakening to your stupid @$$ your pet is nothing but luggage, thanks to your dumb pompous @$$!

If you really care for your pet, pay for a seat, otherwise you are not Paris Hilton.
Sincerely,
Common Sense 😛

People who would subject their pets to become common cargo are the ones at fault. 'Nuf Sed!

Your generalization is not completely fair.
IMHO, a PAX cannot purchase a seat for a Rottweiler that is not a service dog.
Animals (not service animals) must be shipped via cargo.
Some airlines may allow small cats and dogs in a 'carry on' type bag that can be stowed under the seat.
#### Happens.

I have to agree with you xUT. Many times animals are shipped via aircraft, either in a Cargo Bird or in a PAX standard Bag Bin. I can understand people not wanting to leave their Pet in a Kennel where the care is like a Hospice Facility. Their Motto, "Dog Gone"! Many people may be gone for extended stays in a foreign Country and want their pets with them. I know I would if I was in that situation. For me, I don't even own a Fish Tank!

My point was that just like luggage you sometimes have "losses!" In any "animal cargo" don't assume that the personell are always going to take care of your pet.

Don't get me started on this topic, cause seeing is believing! 😛h34r:
