Lawrence and Patricia Cowan, both 67, say Peck was tailgating them on a 35-mph stretch of Pine Island Road.
The Cowans said Peck's vehicle kept speeding up, lurching towards them as if the driver were trying to hit them from behind, as they were traveling the speed limit.
Peck's car eventually pulled alongside to pass, and the Cowans say the occupants yelled obscenities and flipped them off.
They say Peck then got in front of them and would continually slam on the brakes.
When the two vehicles were side by side again, the Cowans said the occupants again hurled obscenities and were provoking a fight.
It was then that Patricia Cowan pulled her Glock 9mm and showed it to the car of young people, but never pointed it at them.
Peck's vehicle backed off and let the Cowans go on their way.
