Of course the niether the article nor dapoes bothered to back up the claim that the President was in favor of that. What I am suggesting, is that while most if not all of the Taliban can be considered violent, some may not be as twisted as the rest and they may be able to exert influence over others. I believe it is unlikely, but it should be explored. I would also suggest that an organization that conscripts members, will have members who are not true believers but are there out of survival.
