True and thank you - we appreciate the support - thanks againJSsup said:and you guys at MDA have a bunch of fans here in EYW. If ChittlePublic brings their E170s in USX colors here, I doubt anyone will go out and work it. I won't make them.
I'm also going to carve "Express" off of the gate sign once we do get the MDA 170s in here & forget to say "Express" when we do our boarding announcements.. they're not express regardless of what CCY says. Only reason it says "Express" on the side is because there's no F cabin.

You dont have to say express. We dont on board EVER. The gate agents usually dont either. We are not express. Thank you sooooo much for your support!!!!!!!!!!JSsup said:and you guys at MDA have a bunch of fans here in EYW. JSsup said:You are safe to fly down for now. It will be professional MidAtlantic crews landing on our tiny runway starting Nov 9th.
Parker's team should honor the agreement made with ALPA for these jets. We really want to see the E170s here and I will stand by my statement that it will be *very* difficult for me to work these flights (Chittlepublic) until the grievances are settled. I've never been pro-union in my life, but this is one union action that I take to heart -- that the republic crews are basicly "scabs" taking jobs away from fellow USAirways employees.
I am a very different "Express" supervisor -- If I tell my employees something, I follow thru with it and I support my employees. And I feel that USAir management needs to do the same thing & protect the MDA crews or call off the sale.

then, maybe you should write Doug Parker and other US management and ask for them to do the right thingMidwayMetrolink said:While I appreciate your integrity, I am concerned as to what may happen after the Republic/MDA deal goes through. Seriously, if no one comes out to greet the customers and unload them, the above words will not be at all comforting as I sit in my seat and quietly turn into a pillar of salt.

You're right. I apologize. I'm upset.MidwayMetrolink said:I just cannot imagine writing someone saying, "you better do like the employees ask or else I may become a human sacrifice on the ramp at Key West."
I'm sorry, but I won't do that. I will book on Delta, Gulfstream, or take several BIG books along for entertainment as I wait for the paramedics to carry my withered remains off the 170.

I compare the MDA sale with Republic to the Northwest striking mechanics, except the MDA crews want to *keep* working & love their company. I'm just NOT comfortable at all working flights that should be staffed by mainline crews, as promised.
