I assume that most, if not all, of the agreements contain language similiat to this:
"US Airways may seek relief from the Section 1113 ALPA Forbearance prior to its expiration only if it can demonstrate that such relief is necessary, because US Airways is in grave and imminent danger that it will be forced to suspend, discontinue, or materially reduce, its mainline flight operations, as compared to the operations as of the date hereof."
What's happening to affect the vaunted "Transformation Plan"?
High fuel costs - nearly $60 per barrel spot prices if you average NYC and Gulf Coast spot prices.
Continued LCC expansion - WN in PIT come May and growth elsewhere will continue to exert downward pressure on yields.
So, yes, they'll be back.....unless we liquidate before they have a chance.

BoeingBoy,
Yup, we have that language too.
If fuel doesn't go below $45 on average in the next 6 months, I don't believe we will be here either. And if they try for more.....then they need to shut the lights, there will not be another concession from the Rank.
It will have to come from the creditiors, stakholders and senior managment.
Any Exec making $200,000 and up is grossly over paid, under utilized and needs a major pay adjustment, or LEAVE. Haven't ran across one that is worth their weight on this property.
We are an industry that is "labor intense". The co. may think they can Kiosk us to death and out source our work....but at the end of the day, you sitll need labor to offer customer service. Right now, morale is so bad, it maybe beyond recovery.
They are not operating this airline anyway.....just running around giving a lot of "spin" to the public, creditors, ATSB, and employees with BS.
So far, I haven't seen any changes in the operation end. Just a bunch of managers running around trying to implement the concessions from labor.
