US Airways screwed up again!!!!

Today I got a letter in my mailbox at work saying that due to staffing levels they were going to give me opprotunity to extend my early out date.

Umm let me think about this, 4 more weeks of hell, or July off so I can bask in the sun and enjoy the 4th of July holiday..??

The letter should have said "We F*&#@# Up! can you please help us?"

🙂 My letter was left next to the toilet, so someone in Managment can wipe there A$$ with it!!!!!!!!!! 4 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PIT Res is supposedly closing July 29th- has this date been pushed back?

The date is still set for July 29th. They are asking everyone to stay till that date!!!! LOL

Big R

There have been previous offers made to extend the early out date in Pit- the services desk specifically. Some took it, some didn't. PA hasn't denied anyone Unemployment who took the early out- even when the company protested the claims. Unless the company can say, we have changed our minds, the office will not close after all, they don't have a leg to stand on in protesting the claim. Either the agent took and enhanced severance or a regular severance it doesn't matter to PA unemployment- there isn't a job in Greentree anymore. I wouldn't stay- res is a miserable, miserable place now, and it is better to leave now instead of later for sanity's sake.

This is just another example of how this company can suck the heart, soul, and life right out of you, if you allow it to happen. I also was asked to continue to stay after my release date. I told them no, absolutely not, no way! Now they're begging everyone to stick around longer. This company is one friggin joke after another. And these are the folks that are so highly talented and valued, they must be given bonus and retention pay!

Piney, I admit that I am just reading between the lines (and assumptions are dangerous), but, do I detect some hostility toward CCY?

Indeed you do detect "some" hostility. I am a "Pay for Performance" guy. When these mongrels had the unmitigated gall to ask a judge to allow them to loot the treasury for personal gain AFTER the Debacle known as the "Christmas Meltdown"

If Jerry and his minions can demonstrate specifically how they have earned a bonus based on performance I will do a total 180 degree on my resistance to executive bonuses.

Fankly I just don't see it.

Hey Piney, the employees don't see it either!! Thanks for your support of the employees. It is appreciated. (THANKS to all the FFOCUS members!)

Hey Piney,

How about the Winston folks? I am a EO who had a date of 7/24 but it has been pushed back(per the contract) until 8/21. From the way things are going, they may need us after Aug.........I would stay an extra 30 or 60 days for a retention bonus, or even for a vacation week! You see, I have been trying to get a vacation week since APRIL! They will not approve it.....when my date was pushed back 30 days I put in for every week in August...NO!

There is overtime pretty much everyday from 0800-2400........lots of folks on hold, lots of folks unhappy with the service. After my initial greeting, one very upset customer said " Do you speak ENGLISH?"

Believe me when I say it is no "thrilla in Manila!"

I took the buyout and was fortunate enough to be in the first group to leave INT. Although I am very happy to be on the outside now, this airline family will always be in my heart. I truely feel for you all being asked to stay on for awhile longer. It seemed like in the end all I was doing was being lashed out at by angry psgrs who were completely fed up with trying to do business with us. Although the pay for another week or two would be nice, I am sure the question is "can I stand another few weeks." I wish you all in Res the best in the future whether with US or not. There IS life after US. 🙂
