Everett Washington Paine Field Passenger Service?

despite your fixation with that article, it has nothing to with DAL.

actually, there is a connection.

it is that WN knew it couldn't compete from SEA so it tried to run and hide at an airport which it could dominate.

Paine Field said "not a chance" and WN has reduced its presence at SEA since.

only now as DL has come along to beat up on AS has WN decided to come back and try to grow at SEA.

only the biggest coward in Texas would slink in the shadows and then try to jump them in the dark when they are being distracted by someone else.
 
Actually swamt it was Boeing Field that WN officials wanted to fly out of and yes, it was back in 2005.  When the costs of SEA went up, WN said that they wanted to fly out of Boeing Field.  Some locals, including Boeing thought it should happen because of WN's close relationship with the SEA area.
 
I'm not an expert in the area, but SEA is south of the city? and Paine Field is north and would border in on Bellingham and Vancouver? 
 
uh, AS is actually headquartered in SEA and flies an all Boeing fleet.

Hard to argue that any other airline than AS is any more ingrained in the life of the PNW.

regardless of the argument, AS is not going to be any more interested in allowing a 2nd commercial airport in the Seattle region than any other airline is in their HDQ.

whether AS will have any say or not is not known but it is also likely that no carrier will be allowed to dominate any airport to the exclusion of others which is what WN really wanted to do at BFI.

Unlike other carriers, AS didn't try to interfere with Snohomish County's process, so the county is now moving forward with building a terminal.
My guess is you'll see Allegiant move there and maybe some regional service from YVR. Logistically, PAE is closer to most of the Olympic and Kitsap Peninsula, and also might better serve the north side of Seattle. SeaTac was a compromise location like DFW was -- situated halfway between the two cities.

Thx to you both for the correct info.  Just wondering now if SWA may consider the move over to Paine Field as well.  Once again someone from the outside took something way, WAY out of content for his own benefit for some reason.  Glad you all saw that right away.  Once again what a moron. We will all watch this one now too.  Maybe good for all, who knows...
