I think AL would look stunning in a turban.

Maybe he looks better in red. Matches the lisptick color better.......

PitBull:

I agree with you regarding Ashby’s marketing, planning, finance, and corporate development expertise. Ashby left US Airways because he wants to run an airline and there are no opportunities in the U.S., especially at the new US Airways with Doug Parker in place.

US Airways will emerge from bankruptcy in a couple of months and Scott Kirby, America West’s executive vice president of sales and marketing and the merger integration team leader, will begin to take over these duties at the combined company. In addition, Andrew Norcella US Airways senior vice president of planning, who came to US Airways from America West, is also a talented individual and he will have an expanded role.

Ashby’s departure is similar in scope to Ben Baldanza. Both men want to run an airline and there was no opportunity for that to occur at the new US Airways.

Very true. Andrew is knowledgeable, understands what US needs to make this work and will be valuable going forward. He is one the few people that I would like to see retained.

1 down, 28 to go.

Now if we can get rid of my pal AL and Lime Boy, I'll have a great weekend.

It is my understanding part of the retention/seperation packages include a lifetime Sam's Club membership. These gentlemen are negotiating for that to instead be Costco. That seems to be the main focus of attention in CCY now...... Once that issued is settled, immediate attention will be on upgrading PHL facilities to it's proper Crown Jewel Status......

Respectively......yadda, yadda, yadda...... B)

was it the ethics policy, the judge denying the retention bonus, or no ceo job for him at Airways?
should we take a poll?

angry husbands demand to know why!

Gangwal is brilliant and knows instinctively how to operate an airline.

I think Ashby will do well. Regardless of what folks may or may not have thought of him... he was one of the very few left here at U that had talent. Real talent. During our AFA negotiations, he allowed AFA to be creative with our provisions; some good, some not so good, but we got there.

Figures Gangwal would come and get him.

Now what?

Me thinks U maybe in some serious trouble, and AWA managment needs to bring some folks over here asap.

Pitbull....respectfully..........
Yes..poor Rakesh was innocent bystander while evil Wolf drove us into the ground. That's why he only got 15mil to walk. Lets say that again..15mil to walk.. and to to quote almost reserve "your comments on U needing management help are accurate" The sad part is that they were accurate about 7 yrs ago.

OK now where can Bruce turn if he wants to outsource customer service??? Oh wait--it's domestic for him now 😉

Sorry I couldn't resist.

I do have to agree with USA320 and others regarding Andrew Nocella. I have had dealings with him in the past and he is very sharp as well as talented. I think he would be a major asset to the new company.

Now let's see who else decides to move on--the more the better with one or two exceptions--

My best to you all.....

Art... a very good one there on the domestic outsourcing...

If he wants to outsource it, bring it to America's third world country, West Virginia, as we need the business. 😉

Can we get some casino at LAS to take odds on who else stays and who goes?

longing4pi,

That is the funniest thing I have seen all month!

Nice touch with the lipstick!

You saved that picture somewhere, just waiting for the right moment, didn't you? 😉

He should be very cautious over in Ghee-land. Jealous husbands there first emasculate the wife thief, then set the woman on fire(or do the battery acid thing). Not the calmest men in the world there, you know?

Andrew has a reputation within the company of truly caring and he is respected.

Respectfully, you are taking examples out of context. From their perspective, we drown our children if we think it will improve the relationships with our significant others.
