I know this is probably a touchy subject, but I am scheduled to be in the March 20th training class, anyone else going to be there?

Congrats and good luck!
You will make some good friends in intial training!

Forgive me for giving you a little good natured ribbing - and that's really, really how I intend it....

Hopefully there'll be 30 or so "anyone elses" there, otherwise it'll be lonely....

Seriously, though, as desert gal said - you'll make some new friends. Have a great time.

Jim

ps - have an even better time once you get on the line. Just don't let any pilots talk you into collecting "air samples" or "prop wash" with a trash bag....

too funny boeingboy. I am not new to this industry so all those tricks are old hat to me. However I have been out of the skys for a year now so if there is anything new, I am sure someone will get me with it. I also hope there are some people there with me, initial training at any airline usually means you end up with more than a few life long friends especially since I have a house in SAN that is 2 miles from the beach and I have an unused guest room. 😛

Really, two miles from the beach??? Hmmmm... about this training class, maybe I need to go back to the biz and think about becoming an FA! Never would have thought! B)

hey jmm. i returned the bid form, saying i would go to march april or june class in that order, but have not heard anything back yet. how did you get notification that you were in march class? did they send you something in the mail?

JMM,

Welcome back then. If those pilots give you a hard time, when you take them their 3rd cup of coffee just say "This practical joking and peeing in the coffee pot just has to stop..."

Take care,

Jim

DPS- I got a call from Joyce in the inflight department. I would imagine you will hear this week.

Thanks Jim, I will be sure to use that line!

Take care all!

After the 3rd (or 4th) coffee and they buzz you for a potty break, just come back with, "Ooh, gee they just got the carts out, can you call me back in 30 minutes? okaybye."

JMM,

Welcome to the west side of the New USAirways. It is going to be so refreshing to have new, friendly faces here who love their jobs. This is very obvious to all of us because if you didn't love the job you would not have even considered coming over.

Although the training is called "initial" training, the West FAs realize and understand that you all are not "newbies" by any means. As a matter of fact, we are going to welcome your experience and professionalism to our ranks!

I, for one, am very eager to include you to our crew rosters. Welcome aboard!

We aren't new to the industry either, but we still have fun while tryng to do a top notch job for our PAX while enjoying ourselves...we look forward to meeting you...Godspeed and we'll see ya there.
