There were eight B717 deliveries to LLC, the last three being on 8/1/2001, however it's probably safe to say they were past the point of no return with Boeing at the time the deal closed in April 2001.
In hindsight, TW should have rejected the delivery contracts in bankruptcy, but that would have pissed off Boeing and left them on the hook for the aircraft. AA isn't that kind of customer.
The TW last flight with a 717 was April 1, 2002 -- it was done on TW's certificate, so perhaps it is a technicality, but AA never operated them.
