All of the flight attendants who abused the travel policy and travelled on the sick list with out a care for their fellow flight attendants were given their jobs back. The reason I have know idea and i do not want to take any guesses. But i doubt there is any good reason to accept back people who have a blatent disregard to company policy and fellow co workers. Those people in management should have their heads checked for letting them get away with this. The flight attendants that were fired are all laughing in the faces of the good employee who does not abuse the system or company policies

Well, at least we now know that the "union" works to get "some" people back to work.

"The reason, I have no idea" ??

Operations, Allow me to give you a hint.

It's a 5 letter word, that begins with "U", and ends with "N"(something that YOU DON'T HAVE !!)

ready ??

U - - - N.

Still can't figure it out ??

OK, another hint.

U - "I" - N.

I am fully awarre they have a union. It still does not excuse their behavior. It also shows that someone in the company has no backbone to fight the union. If it is wrong it is wrong and should be delt with. They all deserved to be fired and should be on the streets

If this is true, the best and most logical reason is that the company didn't follow its own procedures, and jumped the gun. Its the one of the top two reasons people win there jobs back. The other the punishment doesn't fit the infraction.

Yes, it's true they all got their jobs back. AA violated its own sick attendance policy and all flight attendants filed grievances and won. It's nice to see our extreme $41.00 per month union dues paid off.

This isn't the first or the last time the compnay will "jump the gun" when they try to violate the legal way of doing something!

NHBB, you crack me up  ! Here is some more help for operaations...U"N"I-N!

I'm glad your $41.00 a month did something....All it got me was a pink slip and thrown on the street with nothing.....That cash could sure come in handy right now!

Me, too. It seems we are celebrating the fact that people broke the rules and got away with it on a technicality.

Just what this country needs. More of the "if you get away with it, it's legal" philosophy.

^^^^ Here is your winner. Before you start throwing a parade for APFA, you should thank AA crewmember management for not implementing policy correctly.

Flight and Flight Service couldn't manage themselves out of a wet paper bag.

Agreed. Hopefully NHBB and Hotel will put down their champagne glasses for a minute and think about your take, Jim.

As I have stated in the past on this BB, I want to see all AA flight attendants back. The job will not be the same until each and everyone returns.

The comment was towards JW, for selling us out and not fighting for us during concessions. This is one of the things we pay dues for, is to have a tough leader and he has failed us over and over again. It was just nice to see the $41.00 due something for a change. Yes, those f/a's were wrong about D2 when on the sick list. But, we all know the company violates and screws up everytime they try to write one of us up. You file a NOD and they have nothing to lean on except their stupidity.

Violate the sick policy?!? I don't think so. You are suggesting that a person calling in sick from his/her flight attendant duties is actually "SICK"! What does a person do when they break their leg....they call in SICK. Having a baby soon....call in SICK. These two examples indicate that a person may be out on sick list, but they are not necessarily "sick". When sick, one is not required to disclose why they are putting themselves on a sick list, so any of the above scenarios could be the case. Just because one is forced to use the sick bank doesn't mean they should not be allowed to use their company benefits (travel) Obviously the union and the company came to the same conclusion.

Operaations.........do you spend your nights stewing about the stews?
😉 :bleh:

Both operaations and Garfield1966, spend their nights stewing about stews! They both don't realize how flight attendants can get sick so often. Hmm, let's see you fly with hundreds of people everyday. These people are not screened for the flu or any other diseases. They all cough and breath on you. On top of all that the air is recycled through the plane. But, the two of these guys will never understand that because they're pro-company and do everything by the book.

Fly, at AA you're not able to non-rev while on the sick list. Back in the day you had to get permission from your flight service manager to fly while on the sick list (i.e. fly home from base to see a doctor). AA has now taken that from us too. Now you can see why AA is called the sky nAAzis!

AA has the worst non-rev privileges in the industry.

To answer your question FLY I do not spen nights worrying about flight attendants. I actually like flight attendants (Professional Ones) I like anyone who does their job honestly with honor and respect for rules and regulations. I will not get into a pissing match with you or hotel. You two are not worth the time or energy.

operations,
"Respect for rules and reg's."

Question,
What if the "genious's that write the R+R, don't scrutinize them so as to be able to withstand a LEGAL challenge ???????????

STILL RESPECT THEM ???????????????????????????????????????????????????

NH/BB's

Ps.,
Even the *ucked up "self managed" sick policy that your on, can be beaten, using your head, coupled with a "patient friendly" doctor, and a good lawyer(if need be) !!
