I am a returning furloughed pilot and was wondering what people are using for flight bags since we switched to shipsets. We were still using paper when I got the boot, so any help would be appreciated.

First, welcome back!
As for the 'flight bag'? The only items required to be carried are your flashlight, plotter(don't know why), and an Jepp-sized plastic binder (looks like 1/2" ring) to hold your 'revisions' and bulletins.
Most guys use a tote or computer bag, but if you don't have extra junk to carry around you can probably stuff the required stuff in a pocket on your suitcase.
See you on the line.
Have a great day.

If you carry a computer, get one of the TSA approved computer cases. Hold your computer on one side, junk on the other. Going through security, just unzip the middle and send it through, no more taking the computer out.

Welcome back!

One of the west pilots designed a bag for this.

He gives a discount to US Airways furloughed pilots.

I use a Tumi computer case.

Good Luck 😀

Looks like a nice bag, though I found a great kenneth cole computer bag / briefcase TSA friendly at marshalls for 45.00 (normally 200.00) Works great, Only complaint is the amount of room, I've shoved more crap in there than I need....haha

found out the "ProFlight Bag" offers free shipping and free return shipping if you don't like the bag. That's pretty cool.
