Flight cancalation reason

go out and check all of the other airline sites and see how good their status information is reflected (actually look at the old US site, the one that worked and was easy to use).

The new websites sucks. Checking on status you should just have to enter the flight number, not the departure airport too. And the flight schedules, all the nonstops should be listed first. Direct flights shouldn't have the stop over city, easily confused as a connection. And traveling from PHL-PHX, what with all the connections in MKE, DTW, MCI, IAH, DFW, IND, BWI? They should have ditched the HP style site.

Why would you expect the site to be any better than SLO QIK/SHARES?

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but another fun fact: Since the res migration, the reason for a flight being canceled is no longer shown on the Hub or given on the IVR flifo line.

Reason for canceling flights is obvious. They do not have enough pilots. Everyone knows they should have started agressively recalling pilots a year ago (which would have kept the airline properly staffed, and would have had a significant impact on Nicky).

Consider the two qoutes below:

"For 2 weeks now, I've been called every day for POTA or just begging for help.

Last call this morning...said " We have multiple trips open in multiple bases. One, two, and three days. Please call if you can help."

They are out of reserve crews on multiple airframes in multiple bases and are calling crewmembers who are on their off days--and to demonstrate how overloaded the scheduler is trying to just fill the schedule, the scheduler isn't even bothering to taylor their offerings to the qualification of the crewmember they are calling! It is the middle of the month for crying out loud!

Chief Pilot rep speaking to the Indoc class yesterday mentioned the company will soon park 2 or more aircraft due to lack of crews.
