When the twu starts to support its members and bring us out of 1980 wages I will think about supporting them
I dont care if you support your union. You dont support the company you work for. Why should they offer you better wages?
I am glad you don't expect anything from the twu because that is exactly what you are going to get.
This isn't the first chance I have had to throw money at a non union competitor. But when the ticket price that is supposedly a discounted ticket price for employees is actually not. I would rather give the money to someone else.
😉
I am not a TWU member. But since you like so many other lemmings choose to do nothing more than sit and complain. Waiting for someone to swoop in and give you huge pay increases and work rules to make your life easy. In the mean time you sit and whine and do NOTHING. You know what, do nothing, get nothing.

I would like to think TFC has been "hoist his own petard" and lost credability as a union supporter.

But I'm sure after his trip he will soon be back with the same anti-AA venom.

I just hope some have noticed both sides of his face.

Being in the majority doesn't always make one right. IIRC, more people voted for the concessions than voted against them.

I'm still trying to figure out why the AA20 was so much. I can get FLL-JFK for $198 right now for those dates, adding in tax the fare should be about $60. Perhaps someone isn't giving you the right fare.

Because the discount rate is based on the highest fare plus full taxes.

Now there's a stand-up unionist -- buying non-union because it's more convenient or better.

At this point its a bit of a stretch calling AA a "union" carrier.

Oh, and if he chose to fly AA he could expect a raise? If anything, acording to FM and FWAAA he is doing them a favor since they could sell the seat for more than Jet Blue is selling them. HMM, I thought these same people were saying that the reason AA could not charge more is because Jet Blue was charging less. Did Jet Blue send a bunch of planes out to the desert recently? Dont think so.It seems that their story changes to suit whatever arguement they are trying to make.

How about we do nothing and get less, it sure beats doing more and getting less.

TFC, I'm sure that if you would have taken a little break from whining on this board and gone over to AA.com, you could have figured out the fare rules for the least expensive fare, held it, then called res and had them ticket it using the AA20 ticket designator.

Of course that probably would have been more effort than you could handle, so you just decided to create a thread to piss and moan about it.

Enjoy your flight on JetBlue, the official airline of disgruntled, hypocritical, legacy airline employees everywhere.

Didn't know we could do that, always figured we had to go through res or the ticket counter, in which 10 different agents could give you 10 different prices. Thanks for the tip.

Went to the ticket counter waited in line for 30 minutes and spoke directly to a ticket agent who told me the fare price.

After hearing the incredible deal I then created the thread to piss and moan.

Cast your vote and and go jump off a bridge

Not true, Bob. The AA20 applies to any published fare.
Bzzzzt.

Most of our published fares allow for AA20 discounts but exceptions can occur from time to time. You can check SABRE Star record N*TVLAA for any exceptions.

AA20 travel is not permitted on any codeshare service.
May not be combined with senior travel coupon booklet, Senior SAAver SM or senior travel discounts, or other coupon discount offers. All rules of fare apply.
AA20 discount may not be applied to military fares.
AA20 discount does not apply when purchasing a Promotional Fare or a Child Discounted Fare or an INF50 Fare.
AA20 does not apply to tickets that require instant ticketing via AA.com® (i.e. Net SAAvers, Web Fare Specials)

No problem. It'd be nice if we could just do the whole thing on AA.com. All BS'ing aside, I bet your 10 different prices scenario is what happened to TFC.
