You can fly on this,

Or you can choose this,

And people wondered why we didn't want Doogie as our C.E.O.? The pictures speak for themselves.

Hey, don't forget another great deal for your international pax! They get to be flown by the pilots who are the laughing stock of the North Atlantic Track System. Doesn't matter if you talk to pilots from the US, Canada, Europe or wherever, they all know what I am referring to and so do you.

Stand by for the psychological meltdown from the mature professional.

Hmm. Must be related to the two US pilots getting chewed out by NY center last week for not listening up. Yea, those US pilots are the envy of the industry.
Just blame it on your hearing aid batteries.
Now, if you want to start discussing the laughing stock of the industry, we should discuss US Airways pilot pay.

And we all know why the Delta transatlantic crews are so happy........

It would be a first.

I luv the HomeLandSecurity call to the DAL crew about "kinda goin' into restricted airspace" that they knew was restricted....but, maybe they can speak for themselves.

Not that I would think any Navy dude had any idea what is going on in this world. Morons.

Richard-heads.

What Dariencc does have a ring to it. Over and back I hear at least one time Delta giving a position report on 121.5.
Why? Short answer is they are set up by ATL training. In other words, what set up on the audio control. About going head on against the track, crossing the tracks, don't know.I just keep my ears open.
LUV2, If i have to listen again, in re.training sw touching down at 170kts, 2000 down the runway, threw the gard rails, cross the road, into the 7'11 I'm going to puke.

I don't work for WN. How's that for paying attention?

Wow, 2 years old, try a little harder next time. 😀

No ####. I guess we should start talking about the importance of deicing again if we are going to start history lessons.

The reason for the nightly laughter over the Atlantic has to do with basic radio usage. Aircraft make periodic position reports on HF (high frequency) radio during their crossings. The also monitor a VHF (very high frequency) emergency frequency 121.5, also known as VHF guard.

When a pilot screws up and accidentally broadcasts a postion report on VHF guard, it often results in them getting the raspberries in response.

This is an extremely rare occurance for all international carriers except one. Every crew that flies the North Atlantic is astounded that a large majority of these radio miscues involve just one carrier. It has been this way for many, many years. The airline I am referring to is the Delta professionals.

Now I am not even going to start on the navigational blunders that led the FAA to order the Delta Training people to attend US Airways  international training to straighten out their nav procedures. If only they would send them back to learn US Airways radio procedures.

Well, actually, DAL changes their tracks, without permission, on a weekly basis. Most of us are "professional" enough to avoid the morons. Frankly, I am quite happy that we do not include DAL idiots along with the CLT morons. It is bad enough we got morons who cannot seem to know what their min. alt. should be, in additon to DAL cretions.

For safety sake, i would advise anyone to fly someone else.

Yep. It's probably due to the volume of flights across the Atlantic that DL operates. Something you wouldn't be familiar with, and as of today, won't become familiar with anytime soon.

True that Dariencc and Usnark.
LUV2, yeh, we all know your a nothing. Scream all you want.

With only 19 widebodies, they don't have a whole lot of time flying across the atlantic, it's not their fault.

Volume??? How about the lack of volume of your brain? Can you come up with a moronic explanation for why all those BA, KLM, and Air France pilots NEVER make position reports with the wrong radio?

Pathetic.
