i can see why the pilots are leaving shuttle dump. but to pull out without warning is insane. i wonder if anyone can sue shuttle america for the no warning pullout or take any kind of legal action?
they single handedly costed my coworkers and I our jobs and great stations to close in the USAIR system. They are like a cockroach, u can't kill it, they were on the verge of shutting down so many times and somehow always pulled through. With there horrible aircrafts and dirty, unprofessional F/As no wonder why FFs stopped flying U long ago.
i know at my city ua express gives us a lot of their pax of their out bound flts as the shuttle dump either has weight restrictions or the plane shows up say about 5 hrs late. i know this as my friends at uaexpress tell me this and we take care of the pax
IMHO, the loss of "Shuffle America" should be viewed as a blessing.
- No more last-second gate/aircraft changes
- No more cancellations due to unavailable flight crews (especially on the weekends at PIT)
- No more Saab 340's with interiors that look more like a college dorm room than an airplane
- No more leaky lavatories, which is a blessing for ramp agents, especially in the summer.
- No more ridiculous weight restrictions. Just because some crews have limited math skills is no reason to send a plane out without all the bags (i.e. ERI)
I wish UA the best of luck with their addition of Shuttle America to their fleet, because they are going to need it.
