I guess the GOP in the House has lost their binder full of women. Shortly after the Nov 6 election the GOP assigned the House leadership positions. Initially all the Chairman positions were all men, white men at that. I guess at the time they could not find a minority or woman that they felt was qualified to represent the rest of the people in ..... OH crap.. now it makes sense. They are representing the country, at least the part of the country that they want too.

Now to be fair, after this news broke, they GOP did break down and assigned Ms Miller from Michigan to be the Chair of the Administration Committee. Have you read the duties of the Administration committee? She is a House mom. How insulting.

The excuse that the GOP gave was that these positions are based on seniority. Does anyone else see the irony in that? A group of people that on the whole are against unions, using something is that is very union based?

Now the dems are not that much better. They have all of 3 women as Minority chair and Pelosie as Minority leader. I did not check minority positions (may be later) but it is better than the GOP.

Maybe the GOP is simply more concerned with assigning positions based on their qualifications and experience, and not simply looking at the absence of a penis or the color of their skin?...
